For ease and convenience, we recommend flying into Catania–Fontanarossa Airport (CTA). It’s the most direct route to our venue—Borgo del Carato in Siracusa—and typically takes about one hour or less by car depending on traffic. There are direct flights on Delta, which is especially handy if you’d like to redeem or earn SkyMiles. Head to the “travel” section for more info on car rentals, etc.
For international travelers, we recommend 5–7 days in Sicily. This allows time to settle in, celebrate the wedding, and enjoy highlights like Siracusa, Noto, Mount Etna, or Taormina. Shorter trips are possible, but a week makes the journey truly worthwhile.
Wedding Weekend Dress Code Our wedding weekend at Borgo del Carato will be set against the backdrop of the Sicilian countryside in the height of summer. The vibe is elegant, relaxed, and sun-kissed — think effortless glamour with comfort in mind. ⸻ Overall Vibe Italian summer chic Polished but unfussy. Elevated but breathable. Dressy without feeling stiff. Light fabrics, soft tailoring, flowy silhouettes, and shoes you can actually walk in are highly encouraged.
We recommend renting a car if you’d like to explore beyond the wedding. Sicily’s east coast is full of charming towns, beaches, and vineyards, and having a car gives you the freedom to see them at your own pace. Driving is straightforward on main roads, and rentals are available right at Catania Airport. While transfers and taxis work for the wedding itself, a car makes sightseeing much easier—and way more fun!
