FAQs

Question

What should I wear to the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Our wedding will be semi-formal. Cocktail attire for ladies and a button down and slacks or suit for the guys. We don't really care what you wear, just look nice and come hang with us!

Question

What should I wear to the welcome party?

Answer

Dressy casual with extra points for tiki/retro inspired attire

Question

What's the weather like in September?

Answer

September is usually pretty warm still, but Palos Verdes is located on the coast so it's a bit cooler. Average high is 78°F/25.5°C. Average low is 62°/16.6°C. Los Angeles will likely be warmer, as will other, more inland cities.

Question

How far away is the ceremony from the reception?

Answer

About 12 minutes drive. We recommend Uber or Lyft for transportation.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! Please plan your transportation accordingly.

Question

Indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony will be indoors in the Wayfarer's Chapel. Please note the chapel does not have air conditioning. The reception will take place indoors at the (air-conditioned) La Venta Inn.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

The bridal party and family will take pictures at the Wayfarer's Chapel. There will be a break between the ceremony and reception.

Question

What should I do between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

If you're in the bridal party, please stay close! If not, you can go drive along the Palos Verdes peninsula (it's beautiful) or stop at the Terranea Resort just across the street for lunch. You can also go back to your hotel and freshen up for the rest of the wedding!

Question

Is there parking at the venues?

Answer

Yes, both venues offer free parking. Please arrange other transportation or call a Lyft/Uber if you plan to drink alcohol.

Question

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your kids, but we ask that only the kids participating in the wedding and mothers with babies in arm attend.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Our wedding chapel has a very limited capacity. While we would love to host your date, our wedding will be RSVP only. Sorry!

Question

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

Please RSVP as soon as possible, by August 24th at latest. You can RSVP online (coming soon).

Question

I still have questions. How can I reach you?

Answer

Danielle - (408) 396-4151 or Rob (415) 604-7565

Question

What are you doing around Covid-19?

Answer

Update (7/3/22) - We are kindly asking for a negative covid test 24 hours before attending wedding events (including welcome party). Details on how to submit to follow! We strongly encourage our guests to be vaccinated and boosted. We are also strongly encourage our guests to test on the day of the event as well as prior to traveling. Our wedding will be mostly indoors and therefore have an increased risk level. We will also have a number of guests who have underlying conditions - we ask that you please keep them in mind as you decide if you'd like to get vaccinated or test before the event.

For all the days along the way
