My proposal! My proposal! (In my Shelby’s voice from steel magnolias) Randy was adamant on getting me out of the house for Mother’s Day weekend and i was so hesitant as I’d been training the day prior and extremely sore and exhausted. We had a great debate an i decided to get out ( not knowing it would be the best day ever) we decided to go to a bourbon 🥃 bar called Muse, catch the Kentucky Derby, have some old fashions and mint juleps and throw some darts. I could tell he was up to something but i didn’t really put two and two together because he’s always up to something! 😂 However, it was his continuous urge to go downtown that kept plaguing me and i didn’t know why. I figure it had something to do with art as he loves art walk but then it wasn’t Wednesday so it couldn’t be that. Me being stubborn i said well If you really want to go down town I’ll go but we have to get Leo because he can’t be left for too long. We went home and grabbed Leo (our dog) and my mood instantly settled. Leo is a mood changer ❤️ downtown we walked, talked, had a beverage or two and he decided he wanted to go by the original shop where we first met so i tagged along desperately waiting to get home and try the bbq we just scored 😂 well we are at the front door of OPI where it all started and it has changed. No more art, colorful walls, tattoo machines going, laughter and good times. Just a dark space that now has been transformed to a new club. Yet it was still beautiful because it was the first time I’d Laid eyes on my randy and he laid eyes on me. He said “see baby come closer they are combining two spaces” and as i approached and peered through the window he asked me if i left keys on the window seal and of course I’m like no! Thinking why would I have keys, I have no keys! To turn around to him on bended knee with the most beautiful ring i could imagine. He wanted to take me back to where it all started and i was fighting it tooth and nail not knowing my sweet love had planned to remind me of why we are here at the point of joining our lives together. It was only us and Leo- so private, so special, so perfect. Que the ugly cry because that’s what came next. I was so overwhelmed because i had no clue and fell for every ploy. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful perfectly planned Pre- Mother’s Day!
