FAQs

If you have any other questions other than what we’ve listed here, please feel free to shoot us an email at dfmendoz@gmail.com or kbuffalino@gmail.com
Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Wear your favorite outdoor, rustic, semi-formal outfit (we all have those right?!). Suits for men (ties optional) and dresses for the ladies. Comfortable shoes are recommended for the gravel walkways and the grass ceremony and reception. The temperature will drop significantly when the sun goes down (high 40s, low 50s) and the entire evening will be outdoors, so we strongly encourage you to bring a jacket, wrap, tights, gloves, beanie, entire bag of extra clothes or anything else that you think you will need to keep warm. There will also be heaters, a bonfire, a dance floor and plenty of booze to help keep guests warm.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your children, but have decided to make this an adults-only celebration. We hope you understand and can still join us!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

In order to keep our guest list on track, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Please feel free to email us with any questions!

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We recommend sharing accommodations with friends and/or family who will also be attending. Airbnb and VBRO are two great places to find housing, but we have also already done a lot of the work for you and provided a solid list of rental options on the Travel page of this website. If you choose to search on your own, we suggest aiming for the Dollar Point area and ensuring that the rental has access to the private HOA amenities.

Question

What about hotels?

Answer

We decided against room blocks as most hotels in the area were requiring a three night minimum, and we did not want to lock our guests into that commitment. We suggest taking a look at rental properties, but if you are more comfortable in a hotel, we recommend Sunnyside, Basecamp Tahoe City or Squaw Valley Lodge.

Question

Will transportation be provided to the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Shuttles will be provided to guests staying in the Dollar Point neighborhood. For those not in Dollar Point, we recommend utilizing Uber or Lyft. You will receive an email from us prior to the wedding with more specific details.

Question

Is there parking near the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes, plenty!

Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

You will receive a formal invitation with this information, but to help us best plan the weekend, we would love for you to RSVP by April 1, 2019.
