Maid of Honor
I met my maid of honor Alicia J. Young while we were both attending The University of Texas at El Paso in September 2015. Thus, our friendship began to blossom as we were both working for the Department of Housing and Residence Life with Alicia being a Resident Assistant and I being a Desk Attendant. Alicia and I’s relationship developed into more than just a friendship but a sisterhood. Alicia has been there through everything that life has thrown both of our ways and continues to just thrive every day. I thank God every day for giving Alicia to me as more than just my best friend, but the sister I have always wanted.
Best Man
Jose Luis Gomez is a true friend that has been part of my life since middle school. This friendship has transcended through the many years we have spent together to the point I consider him family. We have seen each other at our high points as well as the absolute lows. We will forever be connected as he has also chosen me to be the godfather to his son. He is more than a best man but someone I openly call my brother in which I couldn’t ask for more.
Maid of Honor
I met my maid of honor/future sister-in-law Cassandra M. Gonzalez while on a first date with her brother, Jose. While finishing up our first meal, Cassandra called Jose and asked if we would like to meet her for some drinks at Pockets in Northeast El Paso. I went along for the ride and life hasn’t been the same ever since, but for all good reasons. Cassandra and I’s relationship has grown into a bond that has brought on trust and love in which I cherish. Cassandra has helped so much and has an amazing understanding that I’m gaining such a special person as my sister-in-law.
Best Man
Walter Villarreal is a big brother to me even if he is only 3 days older than myself. Our friendship started in middle school, and he has had my back ever since. Throughout the years we have shared food, clothes, and a place to sleep. We have helped carry each other through the low points and have been there for the highs. He is loyal, loving, and caring which makes him my brother as well my best man.
Bridesmaid
I met my bridesmaid Michelle E. Perez when my father introduced to her, her mother Edna Perez, and brother Joshua Perez. My father introduced us, and we knew from that moment we were destined to be family as not only our relationship grew but our parent’s as well. Michelle and I’s relationship is truly special as I gained the big sister that I have always wanted. Michelle has been through many ups and downs with me, offered me loving advice, and always been an amazing person to laugh with. She gave me the two greatest gifts that a sister could ever ask for with my two nieces Mila and Mia. No matter where life takes either of us, I know that I have a sister who I can always count on.
Groomsman
Armando Ibarra is someone I have grown close to in the shortest amount of time. We met through working with my best man, Jose. It was in September of 2018 when I started considering him family as he was there to help me through a tough point in my life. He has always shown me love and support which are traits I hold close. He will always be my brother and I could not have asked for a better groomsman.
