MATRON OF HONOR
we met gig 'em week, freshman year of college and never looked back. we shared a twin, dorm room bed (shoutout dirty dunn), then upgraded to our own twin beds in a tiny add-on room for the rest of college (shoutout lawyer house), and then she got married & got a new roommate. we may not share the same room anymore, but we share the same city and i hope we do forever. julia is the greatest friend i've ever known - my fiercest supporter, reminder of truth, and loyal as all get out.

we go way back. growing up, i wanted to do everything steven did. he taught me how to swing a bat, shoot a basketball, and much more. the summers we spent together are still vivid in my head: the kool-aid, baseball in the front yard, the amarillo town club pool. i'm so proud to call this guy my brother and proud of the man he is today.

though i do not remember this, we also met gig 'em week freshman year of college and was my roommate throughout college, though, we didn't share a bed... as often. our friendship has always been a place of raw authenticity and honesty. she knows me more deeply than almost anyone. don't hype us up too much telling us we are funny because we won't stop & we'll make your feel like you did 500 sit-ups. she may be back in seattle again, but our friendship is forever.

we met in a communication class at texas a&m (whoop!) when i noticed marco looking at guitar pedals during class. i relentlessly offered my opinion that the pedal he was looking (keeley compressor) at was over-rated and over priced on offered up my recommendation to a complete stranger. we talked some more after class and he ended up inviting me to his bday party happening over the weekend and i invited him to mine, happening the following day. the rest is history and i'm honored to have this dude stand beside my side.

we were the fastest friends. we spend every day together. yes, we do live together, but even before that, the minute i moved to austin, i am not sure there was a day we didn't see each other. i am pretty sure any of my favorite memories from the past five years involved geena. she is the definition of fun. she is patient and loving beyond what you would think is humanly possible. she is everyone's best friend for a reason. thank goodness, she's mine.

stephen and i first met through a mutual friend (sup jordan teague!) when we all drove to a local natives show in houston from college station in 2013. we formed a friendship very quickly over similar interests and have been through a lot of different seasons of life together. stephen always asks me the tough questions and knows me super well. i'm super thankful for this guy and know he's always a phone call away.

i thought she was annoying and trying to steal julia away from me freshman year of college. i thought the worst thing in the world would be us being placed on the same younglife team and guess what happened? we both got placed on bryan high & we became the greatest of friends. she has been there for me through thick and thin. friendship with hannah is easy and real and full of life. and that will never change, even if you are a corpus girl forever.

our paths crossed in high school in 2007, and it made sense as he is an incredible drummer and i am a subpar guitarist. we played in a couple of bands together and had a blast doing it. i'll never forget the drives we used to take out in the country blaring kings of leon and dreaming of going on tour someday. life was much more simple then, but i'm pumped that ryan and i have stayed connected like we have. long friendships like ours are rare.

it's wild to think i didn't really know this girl two years ago, now we are year two of being roommates. i didn't think i needed to or would make any friends post college, but now i cannot imagine life any other way. hailey values friendships deeply; she makes me feel like i'm worth being known. she is genuine, passionate, and a go-getter i always want by my side.

this dude is full of life and has so much energy that is contagious. i have loved seeing nathan grow into the man he is today over the last 5 and a half years i've been with danielle. he's got huge things coming and i'm excited to see where nathan goes in life. i am proud to call him my future brother.

we met in 2010 playing worship for a church retreat together and hit it off. we finally ended up in the same city in 2018 and now live together. i'm thankful i get to see this guy every day and that we have many similar interest that we get to live out together.

i met rolly through marco at a bar when i lived in dallas - we hit it off and i quickly learned that rolly is a guy that shows up. he's seen a lot of stuff that i've been through and truly 'takes heart' with his friends. we would car-pool up to hope fellowship in mckinney at 6am for rehearsal on sunday mornings and i remember both of us being so tired, but he was always so pumped to play drums and worship and that always pushed me to have more joy and realize the reason we were doing what we were doing.
