Day Trip to Sedona

Quaint town 2 hours from Scottsdale. If time allows, highly recommend taking a trip to visit the red rocks and enjoy a scenic hike and lunch! There are handfuls of activities including hundreds of hikes, pink jeep tours, or window shopping. If you plan to visit, pack warm as it tends to be 10-20 degrees cooler than the Phoenix area.

Scottsdale Quarter/Kierland Commons

One of the best places in Scottsdale to walk around outdoors. Located only 7 minutes from the hotel and filled with restaurants and shops. We love to enjoy the True Foods patio which is located directly in the middle the Scottsdale Quarter. Arboleda has a great happy hour with craft cocktails and Spanish tapas. You can also check out North Italia in Kierland for fresh homemade Italian food. If you are looking for a fun activity, Putt Shack is a fun place to do indoor mini golf and happy hour

Camelback Mountain

Camelback mountain is one of Arizona's most famous hikes. Two difficult trails ascend 1,420 feet to a summit resembling the hump of a camel's back, affording 360-degree views of the surrounding city. BEWARE... This hike will definitely test your limits and but it is well worth the views!

Tom's Thumb Trail

Great 4 mile hike near the hotel of the McDowell Mountains. A much easier option compared to Camelback but still with gorgeous panoramic views of Arizona. Sometimes you will even see people riding their horses on neighboring trails

Desert Botanical Garden

Desert Botanical Garden is home to thousands of species of cactus, trees and flowers from all around the world spread across 55 acres in Phoenix, Arizona. When time comes closer, make sure to check out their website to see what events they host. One of our favorite activities was their wine and food festival that was held in the middle of the gardens.

Old Town Scottsdale

Great place to walk around with lots of restaurants and authentic Arizonan shops. Walkable to Fashion Square mall. One of our favorite places to eat is on the outside patio of Olive and Ivy which is located at Scottsdale Waterfront

Talking Stick Resort and Casino

Our favorite casino right off the 101 and Indian Bend, approximately 10 minutes from the hotel. Lots of fun bars, restaurant's, live music and 100s of games to play!
