Edward
Best Man
Edward is Edwind's oldest friend and older brother. They have known each other for 28 years now as they are approximately 13 months apart. Often times as kids, these two would be mistaken as twins because their mother would decide to dress them exactly alike for the majority of their baby years. Edward and Edwind grew up very close and would compete at everything. From bike rides races, to one on one basketball games in the driveway, these two would always push each other to the max. Today, Edward and Edwind have decided to shift their competitiveness to work together, as they have become eternal spades partners, passing out multiple losses to a variety of opponents. Edward currently lives with his wife, Jenae in Irving, Texas and they have two beautiful children, Zechariah and Saraiah.
Sydney
Maid of Honor
Sydney is Danielle's cousin by blood, but sister by heart. Syd is an only child and Danielle is the only girl of three brothers. Their many sleepovers growing up, playing with Barbie and Bratz dolls, bonded them at an early age. Over the last five years, their bond has grown even more as they have helped each other through major life adjustments: graduating undergrad and grad school, navigating through the Peace Corps responsibilities, getting baptized, applying for dental school and job opportunities & more. Syd & Danielle have lived together through the pandemic which has further strengthened their bond. Hiking and dancing in the Colorado mountains is their fav 2020 memory together. Danielle and Syd are excited to maintain their sisterhood as Danielle and Edwind transition to marriage.
Baba

Baba and Edwind met back in 2015, when Baba moved to Chicago to work at DePaul University. At the time, Edwind was on staff at DePaul as Graduate Assistant coach and was asked to help Baba make his adjustment to the city. Their friendship evolved almost immediately, as Edwind began to help Baba navigate through the city as well as help him move into his new apartment. As the youngest guys on staff, they were often times instructed to work together on different task for the program. Every year, Edwind and Baba reconnect during the Final Four weekend at the NABC convention. A time where they enjoy networking and catching up with each other. Baba is currently living in Wethersfield, CT and is an Assistant Basketball Coach at Central Connecticut State University.
Andrea

Andrea, also known as "Drea" has known Danielle for almost 10 years now. Their friendship started when they both joined a student organization at NIU. During their college years, Danielle and Andrea developed a strong bond and became roommates during their junior year. In their apartment, they shared many nights venting about school and work circumstances as well as their relationships. Andrea's fun energy often pushed Danielle to go out to campus events, as Danielle had become a homebody. Even after college, Andrea and Danielle have remained friends and Danielle served as Andrea's Bridesmaid in 2019. Danielle and Andrea are excited to support each other as newlyweds.
Billy

Billy and Edwind met in 2013, when they became teammates at DePaul University. When Billy arrived on campus, Edwind took him under his wing and became a big brother-figure for him. You would always catch Edwind and Billy around each other, whether they were in the gym working out or just grabbing something to eat on campus. They have remained close friends and do a great job supporting each other, whether it is attending games or celebrating each others birthdays. When they around each other, they often joke about Bill's brief rap career as "Slug Rich." Billy currently lives in Chicago, IL and is pursuing his professional basketball career in the States and Internationally. .
Cynthia

Cynthia also known as "Cyn" has known Danielle since 2013 where their friendship began in a group project in a Public Health course. Cyn & Danielle connected quickly as they both had a passion for driving change in the Healthcare industry. Cyn & Danielle spent most of their early years studying, strategizing post graduate opportunities, and attended healthcare conferences together. Their bond strengthen so much that they even finished each other sentences. Five years later, Cyn & Danielle's passion for healthcare still stands as Cyn is a Nurse and Danielle is a Healthcare Administrator. Cyn & Danielle remain good friends and look forward to their monthly dates of good energy, food and laughter. Cyn & Danielle are excited to continuously supporting each other in all of their endeavors.
Edmond

Edmond is the younger brother of Edwind, but Edwind likes to refer to him as his "Oldest Son." Edwind and Edmond have been close for 23 years, as Edmond is 5 years younger than Edwind. Although their relationship started off rocky, due to Edmond's nagging little brother tendencies, they have now developed a bond that cannot be broken. In fact, Edmond is so fond of Edwind that he goes above and beyond to be just like him. Edmond often time borrows Edwind's clothes, unsolicited, in order to tap into his sense of style. Edmond is a former college football player and has recently graduated with his bachelors degree from Murray State University. He is currently enrolled in grad school at Murray State University as well.
Doha

Doha and Danielle met at the GWU, where they both completed their MHA. Doha was Danielle's closest friend in grad school. They often refer to themselves as the grad school besties. Danielle often tells people that she couldn't have gotten through grad school without Doha. The two spent many long nights on group projects, papers, and presentations. Their favorite outlet was going to AMC for $5 Tuesday movies where they would bring chipotle and McDonalds mcflurries to eat - contributing to their joked about grad school weight gain. In DC, they enjoyed going to museums & weekend brunch (whenever Doha didn't sneak off NJ). Doha and Danielle still remain close friends. They enjoy their long Facetime conversations and can't wait until the pandemic is over so they can travel to see each other.
Tim "Fundy"

Tim, better known as "Fundy," has been one of Edwind's closest friends for 8 years now. Their friendship started on one common interest... basketball. In 2012, Fundy began his tenure as manager for the DePaul men's basketball team, while Edwind was in his junior season with the Blue Demons. During their college years, Edwind and Fundy also developed a strong bond over sneakers. There would be times where they would take the train downtown, to stand in line for new releases of their favorite shoes. Although they are close, they haven't always seen eye to eye as they would constantly have those intense Kobe vs. LeBron debates. All in all, Fundy has proven to be a great friend from then until now. Fundy currently lives in New Lenox, IL and works for Nike Town in Oak Brook, IL.
Lanesha

Lanesha & Danielle met in 2013 as members of a student organization at NIU. However, their friendship began when they both became residential counselors (RS) of the Upward Bound & Pre-collegiate Programs. This was such a memorable experience for the two as they enjoyed mentoring and bonding with the young ladies. Lanesha & Danielle most memorable time together was during their senior year when they went to Panama City Beach together for spring break. In PCB, their time was filled with laughs & they enjoyed their break from school & work stresses. Even after all of these years, Lanesha & Danielle's bond is most strengthen by their love for Christ. No matter the worries of this world, they continue to remind each other of God's promises.
Michael

Michael and Edwind met back in 2016 in Bradenton, FL. They both moved from Illinois to Florida in pursuit of being prep school basketball coaches. Michael and Edwind connected instantly, as they both bonded over hard work and the love for the kids that they were coaching. Michael and Edwind remain very close as they talk or text almost daily. When they are together, you can always expect a lot of laughs and a great time. Edwind claims Michael to be one of the funniest people he has met in his lifetime. Michael currently resides in Richardson, TX, and is an Assistant Manager at Platinum Parking in Dallas, TX.
Sherrelle

Sherrelle is Danielle's longest childhood friend as they've been friends since 8th grade. Growing up, Sherrelle & Danielle enjoyed sleepovers and their favorite movie was Dream Girls. They both connected over their love for singing; Sherrelle was an alto and Danielle soprano. They enjoyed participating in midnight musical together at church. Sherrelle & Danielle were there for each other during first crushes, relationships, and even heartbreaks. Sherrelle & Danielle personalities balanced one another as Danielle was outspoken and Sherrelle reserved; the dynamic duo. Sherrelle married Quinton in 2012 where Danielle was ecstatic to be by Sherrelle's side. Sherrelle now has two beautiful children Zoe and Levi. Danielle is excited to have Sherrelle help her navigate through marriage life.
Moses

Moses and Edwind met in 2010, when they became teammates at DePaul University. Moses and Edwind developed an instant friendship. They would spend a lot of time together on the court and off the court. Often on Sunday's, Moses and Edwind would attend church together as they shared the same faith. They have remained close friends and do a great job supporting each other, whether it is visiting one another or celebrating each others life accomplishments. When they around each other, they often call each other "Bruce," which they both forget the origin of this nickname. Moses currently lives in Las Vegas with his wife Samantha and their two daughters. He is currently pursuing his professional basketball career Internationally. .
