The first or second time? We first met in the most unique, unexpected way possible……on Hinge. But the trusty Hinge app didn’t appear to work for us and it wasn’t love at first sight. We moved on and lost touch. Fast forward 2 months later to a night out on the town in Philadelphia for each of us (separately) - Danielle with her girlfriends and Chris, of course, with his brother. Danielle was waiting with her friends for an Uber outside of a bar when Chris and his brother happened to walk by. Chris approached Danielle but in true stubborn Danielle form, she tried to play hard to get and moved along to the next bar without Chris. Fortunately, Chris is not as stubborn and showed up at that same next bar - much to Danielle’s surprise. And the rest, as they say, is history!
If you have a social media account, you probably already know! It’s no secret that we love to travel, so the proposal happening abroad on a Eurotrip couldn’t be more fitting. On the last part of the trip in Paris, we spent the evening cruising down the Seine River on a champagne tasting boat tour. After four very tall glasses of French champagne, we got off the boat and took our pictures among the mass of people near the Eiffel Tower. But no ring yet! Chris then led us down a set of stairs below a bridge to a much more secluded area (where not a single person was around to take pictures!) along the Seine River. As soon as Danielle had turned her back, a Parisian couple happened to pass by and ask Chris if he wanted them to take a picture. Instead, he told them he was going to propose so if they had a minute to take more than one picture - and they were brave enough to agree. And so it happened. Chris tried to put the ring on the right hand, Danielle forgot to say yes…it was perfect!
