. . . Many have their doubts when it comes to the digital world, but the algorithm came in clutch for this pair. Swiping right on one another, we went for a late-night walk downtown. After losing both her wallet, keys, and ID on a local bus, Danielle clamored to meet Chase in the parking lot on her campus. From the moment she stepped onto the pavement Chase was blown away by the girl standing in black pump boots and an oversized green jacket, and Danielle was relieved he wasn’t an ax murderer. That night they strolled around in the fridged Indiana air and spoke about everything from their favorite Marvel superheroes to their favorite colors to even their beliefs and struggles with God. Something that night clicked for them, and when Chase leaned over to share with Danielle his first kiss, they both knew this was “it”. . . .

The day had been long and stressful, but they wouldn't let that get in the way of their usual Tuesday date night. Chase had clamored earlier to call Danielle's family to get their blessing and get a bit of encouragement from his best friend. Then, when everything was set, he took Danielle out for a pizza dinner across the street. After, they drove downtown listening to all the songs they'd collected throughout their relationship, the lights of street lamps and cars flickering in the windows. It was a perfect night. They walked around the city for a while before heading back to the spot of their first date. There they laughed and reminisced watching the river rush by. Then, Danielle noticed a stranger hustling across the bridge towards them. Worried they were going to get mugged she tugged on Chase to leave. He affirmed she didn't need to worry, that he would protect her, and then swiftly dropped to his knee. And the rest is history. To confirm though, they didn't get mugged... it was Chase's friend getting a video of the special moment!
