Why Colombia?

To take full advantage of this beautiful new chapter in our lives, we wanted to surround ourselves with our closest family and friends in one of our favorite places, not too far from where Carolina was born.

Pereira's Matecaña Airport is a national airport so unfortunately there are no direct flights from the US

Airport to hotel transportation

Answer

San Carlos Lodge is conveniently located 20 minutes from Matecaña airport in Pereira, you can take a cab, Uber or if there are enough people arriving at the same time we can arrange transportation.

Currency

Answer

The currency of Colombia is the Peso, there will be many currency exchange places, ATMs. The current exchange rate is about 3000 pesos for every dollar and your US dollars will go a long way in Colombia :)

Weather

There is a going in Joke in Pereira that you may experience all 4 seasons in 1 day...... all jokes aside the weather in Pereira is warm with the causal shower during the day and nice cool temperatures at night. The ceremony will start around sunset so the weather should be pretty comfy.

Is there a dress code?

Your spiffiest Hawaiian garb and comfiest dancing shoes.....NO Jeans, NO shorts :)

Can I bring a date?

We are shooting for a small ceremony, however we understand you may want to bring along a traveling buddy... so yes.

What to expect the day of the wedding

Answer

We are assuming most people will stay at the lodge with us, arriving the night before or days prior. The morning of the ceremony we will be getting ready, there is a pool, restaurant, spa and stunning scenery all around.

We will have stylists available just let us know if you want to book an appointment with them!

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by April 1, 2020. As we get closer to the event, we will also ask for your flight arrival and departure times (so we can arrange transportation to the lodge).

How Do I RSVP?

Here on Zola's website under "RSVP". Please enter the First name and Last name for the person listed on your invitation.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

Please click the RSVP tab and type your name in again. As you scroll down, you will see an option to enter information about dietary restrictions (kosher, vegetarian, etc). Please fill this out if applicable and click submit.

Do you have hotel rooms blocked?

Answer

Yes! We’ve secured the entire Casa San Carlos Lodge. To take advantage of the group discount you must book your rooms ASAP (There are only 23).

What if the San Carlos Lodge is booked?

Answer

We recommend staying at Hotel Campestre La Primavera. It is not far from San Carlos Lodge and it is beautiful!!
