It was March Madness in Scottsdale when Grant slid into Danielle's DMs on instagram. "Are you watching the MSU game?" he asked, thinking that Michigan State sports could be the way to her heart. Unfortunately for him, it wasn't. From there came many failed attempts to take her out to dinner. Until one day, the two star-crossed lovers happened to be at the same establishment on a Saturday night. If you know anything about Scottsdale, you know that there is no place like El Hefe to fall in love. The two spent almost every day together after that - drinking tiki drinks, hiking, and eating bruschetta, until it came time for Grant to graduate from medical school. Their love story survived long distance with 14 flights between PHX and DTW before the time came where the two could finally be together again. A residency match, a cute dog, and a 1500 mile move later, Grant finally popped the question! The rest of forever sounds pretty good, and they can't wait to spend this day with you all!

It all started with a mid-pandemic trip to Chicago, where Danielle and Grant visited some of Grant's closest childhood friends. When they suggested a trip to the park on a sunny Thursday afternoon, Danielle didn't think anything of it. Well - she did, but when she asked Grant if she needed to "change her clothes" out of travel clothes, he told her no. She was sure convinced if anything special would happen this weekend, it wouldn't be then. Danielle, Grant, Mikey and Olivia spent some time eating cheese and crackers, drinking wine and hanging with Butters. After about an hour, Olivia suggested they leave the park, but first she wanted to catch a picture of Danielle and Grant on the boardwalk near the water. To Danielle's complete surprise, that's when Grant popped the question! On the beautiful June day, with swan boats in the background, Danielle said yes! Champagne was popped, white claws were drank.
