Danielle and Clark started dating on January 11, 2022, just a few weeks after Spider-Man: No Way Home hit theaters. At the time, Dani worked in Pitt's Office of Veteran Services, where Clark first met her. Before winter break, he asked if she wanted to go see the movie together, but she had already gone home for the holidays. Later on, they both admitted that they had already seen the movie before their date but kept it to themselves so they wouldn’t disappoint the other. During their time at Pitt, they found their cat, Billie (more commonly known as Böös), at Clark’s dad’s house in Ohiopyle, PA. Not long after, Dani moved into Clark’s apartment, and the two spent the rest of their time together living in Pittsburgh until graduation in April 2023. Since Dani had started school while Clark was finishing his time in the Marine Corps, she was originally set to finish first, but he decided to take extra classes so they could graduate at the same time and plan their next steps together. While still at Pitt, Dani and Clark decided they both wanted to pursue graduate school. Dani chose the University of South Florida, while Clark enrolled at Georgetown University. Fortunately, only part of his program required him to be in person, so it was an easy decision for them to move to Tampa, Florida, where they would spend the next two years together. Tampa quickly became home for them. Between grad school and exploring their new city, they made the most of their time there, finding favorite restaurants, weekend spots, and enjoying life in the Florida sun. On December 13, 2024, just before flying home for the holidays, Clark proposed. While opening presents, Dani found one that caught her off guard: a lock engraved with “Danielle + Clark” and “Engaged, Dec 13th 2024.” It was a nod to the locks they had placed together years earlier on Schenley Bridge at Pitt, where their story began. Clark had hidden the ring in their Christmas stockings, and after convincing her that the proposal would happen in Pittsburgh, the surprise came right then and there. For some time, Dani's parents had been planning a move to Raleigh, North Carolina, and were trying to convince them to move closer. To test the waters, Dani and Clark got an apartment for a few months, and one day they decided it was time to find a house of their own. Now, Danielle and Clark both work full time from home, enjoying life together with Böös and settling into their new home.
