We met at one of those small get-togethers where the kids hang out in the basement and the adults upstairs. It wasn’t anything wild, but it ended up being the start of something special. We were young, 14 and 15 years old, Vinny was the outgoing one and I was the shy girl. We exchanged socials that night, not knowing where it would lead. A little later we ran into each other again at high school orientation and ended up in the same first class. From there everything clicked, we became high school sweethearts, won prom and homecoming, and now here we are getting married. A love story that started in the basement and turned into forever!

The plan? Make Dani think it was just a 21st birthday photoshoot. We started the shoot in one spot at Beckly Creek Park then drove over to the other side of the park where there was a huge red barn and lots of field. This area is where Vinny proposed! It was sweet, simple, and completely us. After the big moment, our family came out from behind the barn - they’d been hiding the whole time, waiting to celebrate with us. Beckly park is only 5 minutes from Dani’s parents house so we all drove back to the house which is where we had a surprise engagement party already set up and lots of friends and family there surrounding us by so much love. It was a thoughtful, personal, and full of surprises, a day we’ll never forget!
