Key West is 159 miles southwest of Miami, making it the Southern most city in the continental US. If you decide to drive you'll be traveling on one of the most scenic roads in the country, accurately named Overseas Highway, or U.S. 1. If you like roadtrips, then you'll enjoy driving over 42 overseas bridges, including the historic 7-mile bridge, which connects the hundreds of "keys". You'll also be able to see portions of the old overseas railway, which originally connected the keys to the mainland. Finally, you'll end up at mile marker zero in the heart of Key West!
Flight
Although road trips are fun, the fastest way to get to Key West is by plane. American, Delta, United, and a few others offer direct flights from major airports across the country. We'd suggest making a reservation early on to make sure you get the best flight price.

This hotel is right at the entrance of the island. You'll also need an Uber/Lyft to get to and from the Casa Marina but it's a really nice hotel.

Airbnb is also a great option if you'd like to go that route! There are plenty places you can find near the venue or around the island.
Hotel
This place is only a few walking blocks from our wedding venue. We've stayed there many times! It's super clean and has a really good continental brekky, plus a pool!
Rental Car
Renting a car on the island is probably a good idea if you don't like the heat. However, if you'd like to get around Downtown it may be best to uber/lyft or rent a scooter, bike, or golf cart if you're up to it! Remember, the island is pretty small and you'll probably want to stay downtown to have fun anyway.
