Our dress code is semi-formal!
Your Invitation/RSVP link should make it clear who is included. Unfortunately, we cannot host any children at our wedding. We appreciate your understanding. If you are looking for childcare, Rose used to work for Chicago Super Sitters, a local service that pairs families with vetted and skilled babysitters. You can check them out here (https://chicagosupersitters.com/parent-services/) and when you are ready to book it, you can do so here (https://chicagosupersitter.force.com/familyportal/s/register). If you have any questions, please reach out to us!
As much as we hope for good weather in Chicago at the end of March, the wedding will be indoors. The venue is also wheelchair accessible.
There is! A large indoor parking garage is located at 1715 Chicago in the Evanston Place apartment building, directly across the street from the Women's Club entrance. The garage entrance is at 525 Church Street (NE corner of Church and Chicago Avenues). Parking in Evanston is free on Sundays in the parking garage and on the street.
Yes! The food will be catered by Zelda's, which is under the hashgacha of Chicago Rabbinical Council (cRc), with a mashgiach temidi on premises at all times. You can read more here: https://www.zeldastable.com/faq If this doesn't mean anything to you, don't worry about it -- You will be fed nonetheless :)
We encourage all our guests to participate fully in our wedding ceremony and reception, even if you're unfamiliar with Jewish traditions. Your enthusiasm will help create a joyful and memorable experience for everyone. When in doubt, hum/chant the melody and/or clap along! I (Daniel) rarely know any of the songs but clapping (for the joyous ones at least) is a perfect way to participate.
