Flight
La Aurora is located in the capital of Guatemala (Guatemala City) and is the recommended airport for our wedding. It is located one hour and a half away from Antigua, Guatemala. All major airlines arrive here. We recommend departing from Dallas, Houston, Oklahoma City and Tulsa. These destinations will provide you ample options in pricing and flight duration. Booking your flight with ample time will give you the best pricing option. All U.S. citizens must use a valid passport when traveling between GUA and USA. Passports must have at least 6 months validity or risk getting turned away by the airline or by immigration.

Travel Note
While most establishments accept credit/debit card, it is recommended to carry some cash in order to enjoy local shopping/tipping. You can exchange USD to Quetzal (GTQ) when you arrive at the airport, but the exchange rate is more costly. We recommend using your local bank prior to your trip for currency exchange or an ATM on your arrival. REMINDER: Call your debit and credit card banks before traveling to alert them of your use in Guatemala. TIPPING: A little tip goes a long way - we recommend 10%. Please also check your bill as they will often add gratuity on the check and you don't want to double tip!
