Question

What if I have a dietary restriction?

Answer

All meals (Friday: BBQ Dinner; Saturday: breakfast/lunch/cocktail reception and dinner; and Sunday fare-well brunch) will be served buffet style with plenty of options to choose from. If you have a strict dietary requirement please let us know when you book your cabin but there will be options available for everyone.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please please please return your RSVP card by May 31, 2022. They're so cute and we love getting mail.

Question

How much does it cost to stay at camp?

Answer

While we would love to keep things free for everyone, we are asking for an accommodation fee if you're staying at camp with us of $200 per guest. This fee will include all meals and accommodations for 2 nights and almost three days, a ton of drinks and celebrations with US! If that isn't a good deal I don't know what is.

Question

Will I have my own cabin?

Answer

The simple answers is, YES. There is MORE than enough room for everyone at camp, and if people absolutely do not want to bunk with others then we will ensure that doesn't happen. Manitou is fitted with a number of private cabins that are perfect for couples, as well as 2 bedroom, 3 bedroom and bunk style sleeper cabins. In some instances where friend groups have responded together, we may make the call to situate you in a closer shared accommodation setting, such as a two or three bedroom cabin that shares a washroom or a common space. If this may apply to you then we will be reaching out to discuss before the celebration. Priority will be given to those who book early. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to one of us on social media or email daniel.miranda.wedding@gmail.com.

Question

What are cabins really like?

Answer

All cabins are fitted with a washroom (sink, toilet and shower), electricity and beds with good quality mattresses. These cabins are rustic cedar buildings and many are located with a view of the lake. We have a mix of private couple cabins, 2 bedroom, 3 bedroom and bunker style cabins for guests to book. Priority placement will be given to those that book early. Please note that not all cabins are heated so bring things to keep you warm on those chilly evenings.

Question

Is alcohol included in the booking fee?

Answer

We will be providing alcohol with most meals for the weekend. Friday night we will be serving beer and wine (and maybe a specialty drink). Saturday we don't want you toooo tipsy before the ceremony but we may have a mimosa or caesar bar with brunch. For any drinks you may want the rest of the day Saturday before the ceremony, the day will be BYOB. We'll be back to quenching your thirst at the reception and dinner on Saturday night, don't fret.

Question

How do I book my cabin?

Answer

You may e-transfer your booking fee to cabinsatcamp@gmail.com. Please make your password something obvious and make sure you include an email address in the message box so we can send you a confirmation.

Question

Can I stay one night?

Answer

Accommodations and fees are based on a 2 night minimum. If there are circumstances preventing guests from staying for both Friday and Saturday at camp, please email us and let us know as it may alter cabin accommodations.

Question

What if I want to come to the wedding but I don't want to sleep in a cabin?

Answer

There are motels, hotels and Holiday Inn's in Parry Sound and surrounding areas if REALLY you wish to make alternative accommodations offsite but we hope you book at camp and soak up the whole weekend with us. Guests who decide to stay offsite will be invited to attend the celebrations on Saturday only (ceremony and reception) unless you reach out to discuss otherwise.

Question

Is there a dress code? What should I pack?

Answer

Please check your invite package for a suggested pack list but keep in mind we are at camp and it will be the end of summer/early fall outside! Think cozies, flannels and gear that's great for camp activities. Friday night we're planning a disco extravaganza so make sure you bring a fun costume. Saturday - we'd love to see you looking dapper for our big day! That said, there will be grass so maybe re-think those stilettos for the ceremony.

Question

How do I get to Camp Manitou?

Answer

Take the 400 North past Barrie and continue on the 400 towards Parry Sound. After you pass the main exits for Parry Sound, take exit 231 which is Highway 124 – towards Sundridge, Travel on Hwy 124 for 19 km until you reach the town of McKellar. About half way you will reach the town of Waubamik – and you will see on the right hand side the RED DOOR BAKERY- it’s amazing so go get fresh baked breads, cookies or ice cream. As you approach the town of Mckellar, you will first pass Lake Manitouwabing on your right, and then you will see the Middle River Farms store and beside it the local corner store on your right. Turn right just past this store onto McKellar Center Road (you are now 5 minutes away) and continue for 6.2 km. Stay to your right where the road splits. Just after Brownley & McKenna Rd, you will go up a small hill. At the top of this hill will be Camp Road. Turn right on Camp Road. Drive 0.8 km into camp.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones this is sadly an adults only celebration.
