Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

1 December 2020

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

3:15pm. The bride doesn’t plan on arriving late!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

So many of our friends and family have amazing kids! We would love for you to be able to have a night off and party with us so request this is an adults only affair. If your beautiful babies are too young to leave or you cannot get care for them, please get in touch as we would love to work something out so you can still join us!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yep. Do so when you RSVP

Question

Are you registered?

Answer

We appreciate you coming from near and far to be with us on this special day. Your attendance is as good a gift as any. However, a contribution towards our honeymoon and new life chapter would be appreciated if you choose to do so. There will be a wishing well to place cards at the venue.

Question

Where is the venue?

Answer

Lake Tarawera is approximately 20 minutes drive from Rotorua. The cellphone reception isn’t great on the way to the lake, so if you are driving please ensure you save the location of the Black Barn on your map before leaving Rotorua.

Question

How do I get to the wedding?

Answer

Make the most of the night and catch the wedding bus! Or there is plenty of parking if you prefer to drive, just make sure the car is removed by 0800 the following morning. If you choose to taxi, make sure this is booked in in advance as there is no cell reception at the venue!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We trust you stylish people know what to wear to a wedding. The ceremony will be outside on grass so be sure to choose your footwear wisely. Remember NZ's deadly sun so it may pay to bring a hat or shade umbrella if the weather is gonna shine as bright as your personality. After the formal show of love, you may be tempted to de-robe just a little. Feel free to loosen that top button as the only essential for the evening affairs are your dancing shoes! However, if you aren't heating it up on the d-floor, temperatures at night can get a bit on the chilly side so it may pay to have a jacket if you plan to take in the night sky.
