Santa Cruz
Santa Cruz is only about 30 miles from San Jose, and well worth it for the beaches, restaurants, and hikes. Check out Nisene Marks or Wilder Ranch for hiking trails, the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk for some touristy attractions, or one of the many beaches in the area.
The Tech Museum of Innovation
This is an interactive museum with an IMAX theater located in downtown San Jose. Definitely worth a visit!
Alum Rock Park
Summertime in Northern California is gorgeous. Check out some of the hiking or biking trails in Alum Park, or bring a picnic!
