There are big-name casinos just across the road, where you’ll find restaurants, a cinema and lots to do in Heavenly Village. There’s hiking in the Desolation Wilderness or on the Lam Watah Trail, and golf at the nearby Bijou Park and Zephyr Cove Park courses. Complimentary continental breakfast is served daily in the Beer Garden, and s’mores are also available on Fridays and Saturdays on the Lobby Deck from 7-9 p.m. "Happy Camper Hour" is available every day from 4-6 p.m. It is a family-friendly take on happy hour featuring camp-themed games and complimentary snacks in the summer and a gourmet hot chocolate bar in the winter. Cabin-style rooms have an outdoorsy theme -- think tent stakes for gear racks, tarpaulins hung behind the bed as a headboard and camping motifs on the shower curtains.
