WILL THERE BE TRANSPORTATION?

Answer

Yes! Transportation will be arranged to/from Chesapeake Bay Beach Club (wedding venue) from the Hyatt and Best Western hotels. More information can be found on the “travel” tab.

IS THE WEDDING OUTDOORS OR INDOORS?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoor, whereas the cocktail hour and reception will be held indoors. The ceremony will unfold on the lawn, facing the Chesapeake Bay, followed by a cocktail hour in the Tavern Bayside, a waterfront bar space that can be enjoyed inside or outside. The reception will be hosted inside the Ballroom. Should there be inclement weather, the ceremony will take place inside in a designated ceremony space.

ARE KIDS WELCOME?

While we love your little ones, this will be an adults only celebration! We hope you take this opportunity to treat our wedding day as a night to relax and enjoy! We appreciate you making prior arrangements so you can celebrate with us.

ATTIRE RECCOMENDATIONS

Answer

Semi-formal: tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. We would love to see our guests in color! Ladies, be cautious of shoe choices as the ceremony will take place on grass. Block heels are recommended.

WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE?

Answer

In September, a typical day on Kent Island sees an average high temperature of 82°F and a low of 67°F. Many would characterize it as pleasantly warm, accompanied by a gentle breeze.

CAN I TAKE PHOTOS/VIDEOS DURING THE CEREMONY?

Answer

We would love for all of our family and friends to be fully present in the moment with us, so we are having an "unplugged" ceremony. We ask that our guests silence/turn off their phones and refrain from taking photos and videos during the ceremony. Our professional photographers & videographers will take care of the coverage. You are more than welcome to take photos and videos during the reception!

We have tried our best to accommodate our guests, but unfortunately space is limited. If a plus one has been allotted to you, your invitation with reflect that. We look forward to spending the evening celebrating with our closest friends and family!
