We've been asked this question 9,000x while planning our wedding. Honestly, it's hard to tell. (It's Daniel.)
In addition to the traditional ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception on Saturday evening, we're hosting activities during the day at Camp Dewan. We'll serve sandwiches, have beer and wine, plus lots of lawn games. The main event will be our Groom vs. Groom Drag Kickball Extravaganza! To play you'll need to wear one item of drag (however you define it). Either bring your own, or pick one out from the Chest o' Drag we'll provide. And don't worry-- the photographer will be there. Our shuttle will run multiple trips between Camp Dewan and the Baymont during this time. There will be plenty of time between playtime and ceremony time to catch a catnap and get ready.
Very casual. On Saturday, come prepared to play kickball and lawn games!
Campground chic! For those that aren't familiar, think comfortable cocktail attire. We're hoping for a warm and sunny weekend, so please plan an outfit that'll keep you cool. Do's include nice shorts, button-down shirts, loafers, boat shoes, wedges, flats, sun dresses, and nice jeans. Don'ts include flip flops, tee shirts, ball gowns, and suits (seriously it's gonna be hot). Also, florals are encouraged!
We'd love to have your kids join us on Friday night and for games during the day on Saturday, but we want Saturday evening to be your night off! If you'd like to team up with other parents to share a babysitter, we can help.
We've included all of the significant others we know as guests. If there's someone special in your life you want us to meet, or you think you'd enjoy yourself more if you could bring a date, let us know. We want you to have the best time and will do everything we can given space constraints.
There sure is! Check out our Travel page. The shuttle we're providing will transport people for all of Saturday's events to and from the Baymont Inn & Suites.
All of our events will happen rain or shine. In addition to the barn where we'll have our reception, we're tenting the basketball court. While we hope for a sunny weekend, packing an umbrella or two probably wouldn't hurt!
