Three things brought us together: Cape Cod, a drag queen, and fate. During separate vacations to Provincetown, MA, over Labor Day weekend in 2016 (almost three years to the day from our wedding weekend), we both attended a stand-up comedy show by our favorite drag All Star Trixie Mattel. During some gentle flirting following the show, we realized we both hailed from Chicago. A week later, we went on our first date on the rooftop bar of the Renaissance Hotel (where, almost 2 years later, Johnny proposed).
