Camille and Erin have been sisters since the birth of Camille in 1985. The two sisters were great playmates as kids and acted in several plays together when teenagers. Camille has two sons, Xander and Roman, both of whom are in the wedding as an usher and ring bearer. Camille and her sons live in Belle Plaine with their cat, Rosie. Camille has been a longtime employee of Walmart where she has been an important part of the Grocery Pickup program since its inception. Camille is an avid horsewoman and loves to paint.

Dan Mui

Best Man

Daniel and Dan have been friends since they met at tournament for Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 in 2011. The friendship quickly blossomed when they realized that they also had a shared love for sports, boardgames and talking smack. They both took on leadership responsibilities in the tournament scene and helped create and run South Louisiana Major, the premier event in Louisiana. They have traveled to various locales for tournaments and have drowned their post-loss blues in good food and whiskey. Dan lives in Metarie, Louisiana where he practices law and is avid ninja warrior participant. HBHR

Lauren Doughty Poche

Lauren and Erin both received their PhDs in History from LSU. Erin started at LSU Fall of 2008, and Lauren joined the program in 2009. Lauren's husband, Eric, was in the history program as well and it was on a spring break trip to the beach with other history grad students that Lauren and Eric started dating. Lauren used to work at a karaoke bar on Bourbon street, which prepared her for Erin's confident and loud, yet mediocre singing. In 2014 Erin was a bridesmaid in their wedding and in 2015 she was asked to be Godmother to their first child, Halcyann, who is the Flowergirl today. Their family lives in New Orleans and both teach at local universities. Eric and Lauren have invited Erin to celebrate and experience many local NOLA traditions, including Mardi Gras with their family.

Garrett Couvillon

Garrett and Daniel have been childhood friends since meeting in Pre-K in the early 90’s. Growing up in the same neighborhood, they along with their good friend Joseph Ducote formed a life-long bond and spent the majority of the their time either biking around the area, playing Magic: the Gathering and Silent Death at Little Wars or spending the night for countless battles in whatever the new videogame was. They reconnected as adults over a shared love of LSU football and crawfish boils. Daniel was in Garrett’s wedding in 2014, Garrett is an IT Professional for WBR School systems and lives in Port Allen, LA with his wife Kaylin and their two kids Cael and Corynn

Kristen Soniat Ziesing

Kristen and Erin have been friends since 2009 when they met at the local Baton Rouge hot spot, Coffee Call. Kristen went to elementary and middle school with Daniel before he attended LSMSA for high school. This wedding will mark Kristen's third visit to Minnesota with Erin. The first time Kristen visited was summer 2015 where she got to experience Belle Plaine's summer festival, BBQ Days! The second time was Jan 2019 to observe the Super Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse at Brian Halloran's Tomahawk camp. Kristen and Erin have ridden on a float in the BR Mardi Gras parade for several years and many a mardi gras in NOLA as well. Erin was a bridesmaid in Kristen's wedding in June 2020. Kristen is the manager of a daycare/preschool facility in Baton Rouge and has an animal rescue farm at home.

Brennan Minvielle

Daniel met Brennan through a mutual friend, the legendary Zito in 2011. After realizing that neither of them would ever be any good at fighting games, they bonded over a love of good beers and trying to exploit any possible rules interaction in Magic: The Gathering to further their version of “fun”. Even before he had children, Brennan practiced his own form of humor(horrid dad jokes) on Daniel such that he wondered if his eyes could ever unroll. Daniel was in Brennan’s wedding in 2018, Brennan works and lives in Baton Rouge where he is an IT Professional and lives with his wife Kaitlyn and their two children Noah and Ruth.

Shannon Olsen Hansen

Shannon and Erin have been friends since meeting at the University of Minnesota Morris way back in 2001. Sophmore year they moved into "The Greenhouse" with friends Jackie and Katie. Shannon visited Erin while she was studying abroad in Scotland in 2004, they went sightseeing in London, Edinburgh, and St. Andrews. Shannon, Erin, Katie, and friend Michelle moved into a house in St. Paul after graduation and lived together for two years. Erin was a bridesmaid in Shannon's wedding to Todd in 2013. Shannon the mother of 2 and an amazing nurse in the Twin Cities.

Matthew McClelland

Daniel and Matthew have been friends since they were introduced by Brennan Minvielle. They shared a great passion for the beauty and pageantry of SEC Football as well as finding ways to rile Brennan and Dan up. Matthew has accompanied Daniel and Erin to trips to Houston to partake in the professional sports scene. Contrary to Daniel’s lamentations about the nature of probabilities, Matthew is always a believer that any bet is 50/50 either you win, or you don’t. Matthew currently lives in Baton Rouge where he works as a Procurement Manager.

Lauren Hebert

Lauren and Erin have been friends since Erin started the history program at LSU. Lauren was a senior studying history at LSU and they both enjoyed sitting outside the history department and people-watching between classes. Lauren introduced Erin to Coffee Call, the hottest coffee shop in Baton Rouge (where Erin would clock more study hours than any other location in town). Lauren moved to Seattle after her graduation where she worked at an IT company, and after returning to Baton Rouge she started working for the state in its IT department. Lauren and Erin tagged along with Daniel and Dan Mui for a video game tournament to Orlando in 2017 and together they explored Disney World!

Rex New

Groomsman

Rex met Daniel at ADVANCE Summer camp in 2002 in Natchitoches, LA. They both went to Louisiana School for the Math, Sciences and the Arts during their junior and senior year of high-school. They were roommates and close friends who spent most of their time playing ping-pong and finding way to combat the boredom of being a teen in Natchitoches. Although Rex went to USC Film School for college he and Daniel stayed close through multiple visits to each of their universities and have tried to watch an NBA game together in person every year. Rex currently lives in Jackson Hole, Wyoming where he is a Director of Multimedia and screenwriter.

Elise Patterson

Elise and Erin have been friends ever since Erin and Daniel started dating in 2016. Elise and Daniel’s paths crossed through a mutual friend during their undergraduate years at LSU. They formed a bond through a shared love of going out, dancing, and playing the most salt-inducing boardgames. Elise is a talented artist who also works in Graphic Design. She is the marketing person for Baton Rouge's Golden Guys, an all-male dancing troupe dedicated to raising money for the local Children's Hospital.

LJ Lungaro

LJ is Daniel’s cousin through his mother’s side. As kids they spent a large majority of their time at his mother’s camp in False River, LA enjoying swimming and boat rides. They were lovingly nicknamed “Grace” and “Lightning” by their families by possessing neither of those traits. During Hurricane Gustav in 2008, they realized that as adults they were pretty similar and were able to reconnect. When he’s not working for Security Safety, LJ enjoys boating and fishing as well coaching his son’s baseball team. LJ currently lives in Addis, LA with his son Ethan.

Jackie Smalley

Jackie and Erin have been friends since their first day of college at the University of Minnesota Morris. They moved into a greenish colored house off-campus with friends Katie and Shannon sophomore year. Jacke and Katie had a radio program "The Greenhouse Girls" at the university's radio station, and Erin had one called "The Greenhouse Effect." Erin study abroad in Scotland her Junior year, whereas Jacke opted to Teach Abroad for a semester her senior year in Thailand. This trip started Jackie on a love affair with travel, she has traveled multiple times a year ever since! Erin and Jacke share a love of off-brand Dr. Pepper. Jackie is a Clinical Therapist for drug and alcohol treatment and she does Equine Therapy as well.

Brian Halloran

Brian is the brother of the bride. Brian is the youngest of the Halloran siblings, with Erin being the eldest and Camille the middle child. Brian attended the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and also studied abroad his junior year. He went through an architectural program to Copenhagen, Denmark for a semester. Brian went on to become the Director of the Tomahawk Boy Scout Camp in Wisconsin and works for the Council in the Cities in the offseason. Brian has gotten to know Daniel through various holiday trips and an epic family vacation to Disney World where the two bonded over mocking the bride's attempts to wrangle the family. Brian and his partner Emily live in the Twin Cities where they enjoy biking, hiking, and all that the cities have to offer.

Xander Halloran

Xander is the eldest of Erin's nephews and the son of Camille, the maid of honor. Xander and Erin have been best friends since the first time they met in 2008. Xander is a sixth-grader, a talented pianist, dancer, and singer of Disney songs. Xander has visited Erin in Louisiana twice, the first time was when he was an adorable three-month-old, and the other was this past summer where he interacted with the culture and food far more than his first visit. Xander has been looking forward to this wedding and the dancing as much as the bride and groom, if not more!

Ethan Lungaro

Ethan is one of Daniel’s nephews and the son of LJ, the groomsman. Ethan and Daniel have become great friends since Ethan realized Daniel knows about both baseball AND videogames. He is currently in sixth grade at Brusly Middle and avid baseball player (middle infield), book reader, and all-around goofball. Ethan has been waiting to go to Minnesota for the wedding, although I think it’s more for the chance to see a Twins game than anything else.

Halcyann Poche

Halcyann and Erin have been BFFS since October 2015 when Halcy was born. Erin is Halcyann's godmother and cool aunt. Together they share a love of unicorns, fairies, Disney, and books. They celebrate Mardi Gras together with themed outfits. 2016 Halcy was Cinderella and the rest of the group were Disney Villians. 2017 she dressed as the hungry caterpillar to represent Gluttony and the rest of us were the other seven deadly sins. 2018 she was a bumble bee to our garden costumes. 2020 she was Alice from Wonderland and the rest of us were other fairytale characters.

Roman Halloran

Ring Bearer

Roman is Erin's youngest nephew. Roman is obsessed with Batman and Marvel in general, if he could he would sleep in his batman mask, Black Panther gloves, and cape! Roman particularly enjoys Daniel and has a fascination with Daniel's beard. Roman is an uncomplicated young man, he wants his caped crusader mask, a couple of hot wheels and trucks, and his brother Xander. Roman will be starting kindergarten in the fall and will likely be the cutest guy in class.

Robert Viator Jr.

Officiant

Robert has been Daniel's friend since they met at Louisiana School in 2003. They bonded over a love of all things obscure and nerdy. They both studied at LSU for undergrad with Robert deciding to get his PHD in Mathematics and Daniel getting his Master's in Stats afterwards. Being in grad school at the same time allowed them to find someone to commiserate with as they often did during their Catfish Friday ritual. Daniel introduced Erin to Robert when he visited BR over the holidays and the two quickly became friends as well. Robert is currently an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania.
