This is a welcome event for all of our out-of-town guests that may be staying in the local area for the wedding, but all are welcome to join. We will have some snacks at Oldenburg's, but guests are encouraged to explore the rest of what downtown Belle Plaine has to offer (surprise - it's more small-town bars, plus karaoke somewhere).

Cake Pulls are a common Southern wedding tradition. It includes hiding silver charms in wedding cakes as a form of divination. The bride gathers a number of her eligible female family and friends around the wedding cake. Inserted into the wedding cake are various charms with ribbon tails meant to represent the puller's future. After a count of three each of the women pull a ribbon, exposing a charm. After the cake pull the bride and groom will cut the cake!
