Erica comes from a small town in Tamworth, NH where she was raised in a farmhouse by her parents Nina and Sheldon. She has one older sibling Reid. As a child, Erica loved spending time with her friends, loved being in nature, was part of a local dance company and developed a passion for working with people. Erica moved to Boston, MA in 2013 where she then pursued her Masters in Social Work (MSW). Shortly after, Erica began her job a social worker with the MA Department of Children and Families. Daniel was born in Boston, MA where he grew up with his older brother Esteban. Daniel was raised by his parents Carla and Gabriel Polonsky and is grateful that he was able to experience parts of Guatemalan and American culture. To this day, Daniel loves to travel, spend time with family and friends as well as play basketball. Daniel pursued his Masters in Social Work (MSW) in 2018 and has also worked at the Department of Children and Families for seven years. It was a winter day in February 2016 when Daniel returned to work from a month long vacation in Guatemala and Costa Rica to find a new co-worker in his unit, Erica. Their relationship developed over the next couple of years, beginning with friendship, growing into a romantic relationship and they are now becoming husband and wife. Daniel and Erica share many similarities and differences; their relationship is truly a testament to the phrase "opposites attract." Erica is the extrovert to Daniel's introvert and Daniel is the tranquility to Erica's vivaciousness. They love to share experiences with family and friends, have passion for travel and enjoy cooking together. They both believe in the value of trying new things and bringing groups of people together, especially loved ones. Daniel and Erica feel extremely lucky to have so many people in their lives that they love and can rely on.

Daniel proposed to Erica on June 12, 2020. It was a beautiful, sunny, but HOT day and Daniel suggested taking a walk. Daniel took Erica to one of their first date spots overlooking the Boston Harbor skyline. Daniel had planned to ask Erica during the walk, but he got too nervous and "sweaty." They returned to their condo in Roxbury, MA where Daniel popped the question. They then celebrated with frozen margaritas and Facetimed with all of their friends and family. 2020 has been a crazy year, but this will be a positive memory for all time.
