Flight
Santa Barbara Airport is the easiest and most convenient option if flights are available. It is a small, easy airport located close to town, with rental cars, rideshare, taxis, shuttles, and nearby Amtrak access available from the terminal. Flight options may be more limited than Los Angeles-area airports, so we recommend checking SBA first and comparing from there.
Flight
LAX will typically offer the most flight options and may be the best choice for guests traveling from farther away or looking for more flexible schedules. The drive from LAX to Santa Barbara is usually around 2 hours, but traffic can add significant time, especially on Thursday or Friday afternoons. We recommend building in extra buffer time if flying through LAX.
Flight
Hollywood Burbank Airport can be a less overwhelming alternative to LAX and may be easier for guests who prefer a smaller airport. It is still a drive to Santa Barbara, generally around 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours depending on traffic. Flight options may be more limited than LAX, but it can be worth comparing.
