Dan and Julien first met on the school bus in 9th grade—two new kids at a new school who quickly became best friends. Their bond only grew stronger over the years, becoming Kappa Sigma brothers (even from different colleges) and sharing countless milestones along the way. Julien helped kick off Dan’s 30s with an unforgettable birthday in New York—the very city Dan and Chante would later call home—and even traveled halfway across the world to celebrate their engagement. Though Julien often lived the farthest away, he's always been there at a moments notice when it matters most. Their friendship has been a blessing to them both, through all of the great changes and challenges life brings.
Mariana Colorado

Mariana and Chante have been inseparable since their middle school days, a bond that’s only grown stronger with time. Often referred to as the “third daughter” by the Pleak family, she’s truly played a big part in Chante’s life. She has been there to pick Chante up when she needed some extra sunshine, and has always had her back. Their frienship is a mix of "A Day to Remember", Winnie the Pooh, and long talks about the best and worst dressed at the annual MET. Mariana has always shown up with love, non-judgement, and has given Chante a friendship of a lifetime.
Brandon Volk

Though Dan and Brandon went to the same high school, their friendship truly began in college when Brandon joined Kappa Sigma and became Dan’s Little Brother. Since then, they’ve shared countless adventures and more than a few setbacks where they were always able to lean on one another. Brandon has been the 'Brando' Calrissian to Dan’s Han Solo—reliable, thoughtful, and always bringing the laughs. Their friendship is built on deep trust, sharp wit, and more inside jokes than they can count. Fun fact: it was during a visit to see Brandon that Dan met Chante—proof that some friendships really do change everything.
Brittany Badertscher

Brittany and Chante’s friendship was born at Hablo Taco—a place known for tacos, margaritas, and, in their case, lifelong memories. Brittany is the kind of friend who drops everything—like the time she rushed Chante to the ER (due to Chante getting heatstroke) without hesitation. She’s the kind of person who shows up with unconditional love, steady support, and a yoga mat in hand. Brittany has shown up for Chante in ways that are indescribable and have painted a place in her heart that will always bring a sense of comfort—knowing that she is lucky enough to call Brittany a friend who has shown a true sense of sisterhood.
John DeRosa

Dan and John first crossed paths on the Georgia tennis scene back in middle school, bonding over their love of 311, tennis mind games, and a shared talent for stirring up unforgettable shenanigans. After Dan moved away to Florida, their tradition of attending a summer concert together, kept their friendship strong. Whether it was seeing who could get the most laughs or create the most wonderfully awkward moments, their friendship has always been rooted in joy, mischief, and deep connection. Since Dan’s return to Georgia, John has made it feel like home for both Dan and Chante—and that means everything.

Merrill is Chante’s longest-standing friend in the States—a friendship that began as Lynxs in elementary school and has grown beautifully into adulthood. Their bond is built on years of unwavering support, martinis, a love for travel, and analyzing Sex and the City episodes. Merrill brings wisdom, joy, and authenticity to every moment they share. Chante cannot begin to thank Merrill for all of the beautiful moments she has created in her life. Merrill made New York feel like home, and Chante always knew she had a friend by her side no matter where life took either of them.
Phoebe Perelman

Chante and Phoebe met during their final year of college and immediately wondered how it had taken so long—because from the start, it felt like they’d been friends forever. While living in St. Pete, Florida, they made “hot girl walks” a weekly ritual, turning simple strolls into meaningful conversations and unstoppable laughs. Even as life took them to different corners of the country, the walks (and the friendship) never stopped. Whether it’s spontaneous camping trips or soul-deep chats, with Phoebe, it’s always an easy and joyful yes. Phoebe taught Chante that you can love to travel to wide open spaces and still have a place for the city in your heart—it is what being a 'Type A Bohemian' (Phoebe's term) is all about. Phoebe and Crescent Lake will always be a few of Chante's favorite things.

Emma, Dan’s favorite niece, has quickly carved out a very special place in Chante’s heart. Her joyful spirit, big smile, and sweet presence have made her a cherished part of their lives. From the moment they began imagining their big day, Dan and Chante both knew—Emma had to be by their side. It wouldn’t feel complete without her sharing in the magic, love, and a few flower petals along the way.
