First Formal Reception

Time to celebrate and socialize with friends and families. Afterward, get ready to dance and have a good time. Food and drinks will be served.

Mehendi-Sangeet

2:00 pm

Shades of Green or Yellow

Friends and family members will have henna patterns drawn on their hands and feet. That evening, the sangeet (musical celebration) takes place. This event involves an introduction of the couple's families, socializing with lots of food, dances, or other performances.

Hindu Wedding Ceremony

10:00 am

Formal Party Attire or Traditional Nepali Attire

The groom and his family arrive at the bride's home. The Hindu priest will preside over the ceremony and the wedding rituals end with a blessing by the priest and their families.

Second Formal Reception

5:00 pm

Formal Party Attire or Traditional Nepali Attire

Let loose and have fun. Bring your most fashionable, though comfortable dancing shoes, you'll need them.
