Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Cassandra R. Gates and Daniel P. Vigeant
Ludlow has lots to offer! If you have some time to spare, consider checking out some of our favorite local spots!
Okemo Mountain Resort

Okemo Mountain Resort

Ludlow, VT 05149

Head to the main mountain for scenic chairlift rides or to drive up the mountain. Please Note: if you do drive up Okemo there is a ~0.4 mile walk to the very top. If you get hungry, stop in at The Loft. They have a great selection of beer and very tasty bar food! Go to Jackson gore to ride their mountain coster, play mini golf, or try the tree top ropes course.

Fox Run Golf Club

Fox Run Golf Club

89 Fox Lane Extension, Ludlow, VT 05149
, 8023000036

Love to golf? Check out Ludlow's 18-hole championship golf course, Fox Run.

Crowley Cheese Company

Crowley Cheese Company

14 Crowley Lane, Mount Holly, VT 05758

If there’s one thing we love about Vermont, it’s the cheese (and the maple syrup!). Crowley Cheese has been making their cheese by hand since the 1800s, and it’s one of our favorite local stops. Their cheese is so good, and you can even watch them making it if you visit during the right time. If they aren’t making cheese the day you visit, you can still tour the shop and learn all about how it’s made.

Ludlow Farmers Market

Ludlow Farmers Market

37 South Depot Street, Ludlow, VT 05149

Who doesn't love a good farmers market. Stop by Sunday on your way out of town for local artwork, delicious food, fresh produce and more! Open 9am - 1pm.

Buttermilk Falls

Buttermilk Falls

C7PF+65J, Ludlow, VT 05149

Buttermilk Falls is a local favorite and especially beautiful in the fall. The trail is an easy 0.25 miles each way, leading to a series of 3 cascading waterfalls and scenic pools.

Healdville Trail

Healdville Trail

625 Station Road, Mount Holly, VT 05758

The Healdville Trail is 5.9 miles in total (out and back) and takes you up Okemo Mountain to sweeping views from the historic fire tower at the summit. A moderately challenging hike, it’s especially rewarding during peak fall foliage.

Camp Plymouth State Park

Camp Plymouth State Park

2008 Scout Camp Road, Ludlow, VT 05149

Camp Plymouth State Park is just down the road from our wedding venue and a great spot to spend a few hours during the weekend. With a sandy beach on Echo Lake, picnic areas, and easy trails, it’s a beautiful place to relax and take in the Vermont scenery.

The Hatchery

The Hatchery

164 Main Street, Ludlow, VT 05149
, 802-228-2311

The Hatchery has been a Ludlow staple since 1978 and is our favorite breakfast spot in town. They’re open until 2 pm, so be sure to stop in while you can. We especially love their blueberry pancakes, and the Vermonter omelette!

Singleton's General Store

Singleton's General Store

356 Main Street, Cavendish, VT 05153

Singleton’s is known for its great meats, cheeses, and local goods. They have a Deli that serves the best sandwiches in town. Our go-tos are the Perky Turkey sandwich, and the Green Mountain Boy. It’s the perfect stop for a quick bite or to pick up Vermont specialties.

Homestyle Hotel | Restaurant

Homestyle Hotel (restaurant) is a local and personal favorite that offers farm-fresh, shared-plate dinners.

Main + Mountain is our favorite spot for fun and creative cocktails in Ludlow. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with firepits outside and a great seasonal menu. It’s the perfect place to grab a drink and hang out while you’re in town for the wedding.

Eight Oh Brew
