Cassy and Dan met in 2019 in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. In the summer of 2020, Dan helped Cassy buy her first snowmobile. After a day of riding together that winter, he started showing interest. Cassy likes to joke that the snowmobile came with Dan. For a while they made it work long-distance. First with Dan in Steamboat and Cassy in Breckenridge, and then even farther apart when Dan moved to Hotchkiss. In 2022 they finally ended up in the same place, moving in together in Basalt, CO. Wanting to be closer to their families, they moved across the country in the spring of 2024. They moved in with Dan’s parents in Massachusetts. That fall, Cassy ran her first marathon, and Dan proposed to her that night. Shortly after, they bought a house in Ludlow, Vermont. Cassy’s dog Gracie has been by her side for over 10 years, and once they were settled into their new home, they added another pup, Maple, to the family. From Colorado to Vermont, every step has brought them closer together. They’re excited for the future and even more excited to share their wedding day with family and friends.
