Cairns Weather

August is technically considered Winter in Cairns but it is not like any winter that you know. Here in the Tropics we are so lucky that it is warm weather all year long!
The weather is warm and comfortable during the day with a high temperature of around 27 degrees.

For anyone wishing to do a sightseeing trip to other places, please consider how big Australia actually is. For example:

- Cairns - Sydney is a 3-4 hour direct flight.
- Cairns - Perth 5 hour flight
- Cairns driving to Airlie Beach (Whitsundays) is roughly a 9 hour drive non-stop. 

We would recommend either using Jetstar / Tigerair for domestic flights as they are sometimes the quickest and cheapest way to get around.
