FAQs

Question

How should I get to the venue?

Answer

If you drive, there is metered parking in Fort Mason as well as street parking nearby. However, there are not guaranteed spots. We strongly encourage taking Uber/Lyft/or other public transportation. Expect the neighborhood to be busy that day! If you do drive, please remember not to leave any valuables or bags in your cars.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Dress code is semi-formal to formal and is primarily indoors. However, the cocktail hour will be outside and we'll be right on the bay. It can get windy, so you will want to bring an extra layer.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding ceremony and reception will be indoors. Cocktail hour will be outdoors.

Question

What will weather be like?

Answer

San Francisco is beautiful in September. It's forecasted to be in the low 70s to mid 80s during the day, but it will likely get breezy and chilly during evening, especially by the water. We recommend wearing layers.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes! All locations are wheelchair accessible and have no stairs.

Question

What's for dinner?

Answer

We'll be serving paellas and assorted tapas for dinner. We met at a paella dinner so we're extra excited to share this experience with you!

Question

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Answer

We ask that you refrain from taking photos and using your cell phone during the ceremony. Thank you!

Question

What if I have a dietary restriction?

Answer

We will have vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. But feel free to reach out to us if you want to ask about a specific dietary restriction.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please check your RSVP regarding plus ones.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones! However, we unfortunately will not be able to accommodate most children due to space restrictions and only children of immediate family will be present.

Question

I am coming from out of town. Where should I stay?

Answer

We have arranged for a number of courtesy room blocks at local hotels in the downtown area. You can see our "Travel" page for more details.

Question

Is there a theme for the wedding?:

Answer

We do not have a theme per se, but you might imagine a modern, minimalist, industrial vibe.

Question

What is the color palette of the wedding?:

Answer

We welcome color at the wedding but encourage muted, understated, earthy tones. The wedding party will be wearing black and white if you are looking to avoid accidentally matching!

Question

Where are you going on your honeymoon?

Answer

Our big international honeymoon to Japan is going to be planned in either 2026 or 2027, but we're planning a brief, relaxing minimoon to Kauai to unwind after the wedding weekend! We're so excited for both.

Question

Do you have a hashtag?:

Answer

We do! Please feel free to tag photos you post under #thebainofhisexistence

Question

Anything else?

Answer

There is a lot to do in the city so if you can arrive early to take advantage of everything San Francisco has to offer we recommend it! We also recommend you avoid leaving valuables in your car during the wedding and your other travels.
