Travel Note
There are three main options for getting to Provincetown: 1. By ferry: Fly to Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) or take Amtrak to Boston South Station, and connect to a 90-minute Fast Ferry to Provincetown. Fast Ferry tickets should be booked in advance via Bay State Cruises or City Experiences (a.k.a. Boston Harbor Cruises). The ferries depart from the Seaport (Bay State Cruises) or Long Wharf (City Experiences); you will want to build in some time to travel from the airport/train station to the ferry dock. There are ferry departures from Boston only a few times a day, so if you plan to travel by ferry, we suggest checking the ferry schedules to find the right alignment with your flight timetable. The fast ferries arrive at MacMillan Pier in Provincetown, and from there you can take a taxi or Uber to Kalmar Village. 2. By plane: Fly to Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and connect to Provincetown Municipal Airport (PVC) on a Cape Air flight. Cape Air operates small propeller planes with limited capacity . You may want to arrange a local taxi ahead of your arrival at Provincetown Airport for a seamless experience; cell phone reception in the area of the airport can be spotty. Local taxi services include Pride Taxi (508.487.3400) and Cape Cab (508.487.2222). 3. By car: Fly to Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) or take Amtrak to Boston South Station, and rent a car, then drive to Provincetown (about two hours and fifteen minutes). Other airport options include: Cape Cod Gateway Airport (about an hour drive from Truro) and Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport (about a two hour and fifteen minute drive to Truro). Please contact the airports directly to inquire about car rental options. Please let us know if you have any questions or would like to be connected with other guests for carpooling!
