Alexis' best friend Katie was moving into her newly purchased, Wadsworth home. And being the thoughtful, very single, best friend that she was, Alexis was helping Katie move in. She may or may not have been told that there was a single, hot dad, that lived next door. Anyways, minding her own business, Alexis was slowly and very accurately, pulling around the cul de sac while, said hot dad, happened to be checking his mail. This man literally jumped two feet in the air and completely out of the driveway. When Alexis safely parked her car, she got out and asked Dan, "did you think I was pulling into your driveway?" He sarcastically replied, "No! I thought you were going to run me over!" And the rest is history!
Alexis had been dropping subtle hints for years that she was ready to tie the knot. Dan knew deep down in his heart that he did too, it just took him a little longer to admit it! Last November, Alexis had a pretty lengthy hospital stay. During that stay, Dan was casually visiting one day and randomly asked, "will you marry me?" Alexis said, "sure" completely thinking Dan was joking, and just being sweet. He swore up and down that he had a ring at home; but Alexis completely thought he was kidding. On November 13, Alexis had to have emergency surgery to have their daughter, Lennyn. Two minutes after surgery, Dan dropped down on one knee and said, "I love you, will you marry me?" Alexis, overwhelmed as ever, said yes, again. At this point, Dan is still swearing he does have a ring, and he just forgot it at home.. again. And again, Alexis did not believe him. Later that same evening, on the fourth floor of the hospital, while enjoying recovery milkshakes, Dan got down on his knee for a third time. This time, he had a ring.
