Question

Are kids Invited?

Answer

Absolutely! Kids are more than welcome to join us in Nicaragua. There are lots of exciting activities for them to enjoy. However, we’d love for you to have a special night off on our wedding evening. To make this possible, we’ve arranged daycare and babysitting services at the Ranch for that night. You can also contact the concierge for additional babysitter and nanny services if needed. Additionally, the Kids Club will host a fun party on Friday, and all kids are invited to join in the fun. We’ll also set up a dedicated area for the little ones at the Welcome Party.

Question

Is there a shuttle to and from the hotel to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, a shuttle will be provided to take all guests from The Inn to the Ceremony at the Capilla and to the reception at the Ocean Front Terrace.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

The Ranch is very laid back, bring bathing suits, some sporty clothes for those who want to adventure the hikes or yoga. The welcome party and rehearsal dinner will be more dressed up, we suggest colorful dresses, floral prints, suits in blue and lighter hues. The wedding is semi-formal. Please see each individual event for more details.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by October 11th, so we can have an accurate headcount

Question

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

Answer

Do not wear stiletto heels. I repeat, do not wear stiletto heels. There are a bunch of grassy/dirt/stone walk ways that you might have to walk in so wear chunky heels or sandals.

Question

Are there any dietary restrictions or preferences you would like us to know about?

Answer

Please let us know, we want to make sure there's a special plate designated just for you

Question

What is the local time zone?

Answer

Nicaragua observes Central Standard Time all year.

Question

What is the local currency?

Answer

The local currency is the Nicaraguan Cordoba (C$) and the conversion is roughly 1 USD = 36.62 Cordobas. The US dollar and US credit cards are accepted almost everywhere in Nicaragua. Currency conversion rates can be found easily on the XE Currency Converter App. Rancho Santana uses a cashless system for goods and services purchased on the property or arranged by the staff unless otherwise noted. Upon your arrival to RS, you will open an account and everything, including off-property excursions, can be charged back to your room. Rancho Santana accepts Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. If you find yourself needing cash, Concierge can provide up to $100 for a $5 fee. A 15% IVA (Nicaraguan Sales Tax) will be added to all charges at the Ranch, and a 10% gratuity is automatically included at the dining venues. For all other services, tipping is similar to the United States.
