Matron of Honor
My mother and Dani's mother wanted nothing more than for us to be friends. Same age, same name, to them it just made sense! We fought it at first, stubborn teens that we were, but she quickly became one of my best friends, and someone who has made life so much sweeter.
Maid of Honor
I met Ashley the first day of 8th grade. She was my student ambassador, and despite initial reluctance (she did NOT want to be friends with the overly perky new girl) we ended up stuck together- and still are! Fun fact, she's the first person I ever talked to about Josh!

Sometimes you meet someone and it's like you've known them forever. That's what it was like with Mel! One day she was just the new girl at church, and the next we were inseperable. She's one of the closest things I have to a sister, and I am so grateful for her presence in my life!
Bridesmaid
Nearly every year, I would receive a phone call and a card from a "cousin" in Cuba whom I had only met once. I had no idea that she was the kindred spirit I hadn't met yet. When Susi moved to the U.S, we clicked instantly, and I'm so proud to call her my cousin.

They say the friends you make in your 20s are extra sweet, and Amanda has been just that for me. From being the cool new girl at church to being one of my closest friends and my partner in crime at work, I could not be more grateful to have her in my life.
Bridesmaid
I still remember when Emily first pulled the "bigger big sister" card on me. I've always been the oldest, the mom friend, but when Emily is around she makes sure I get a chance to be a little sister. She's been a confidant, a sweet friend, and the woman I run to with all my "am I crazy?" questions.

When I met Karis, she had pigtails and I had bright fuschia lipstick that she thought made me seem interesting. Who knew she'd end up being the little sister I'd always wanted? My mini me and favorite person to hug, I'm so grateful for her in my life!
