Nothing says summer in Chicago like a trip to Wrigley Field, built in 1914 it's the 2nd oldest ballpark in the MLB! Order a hot dog and ask them to "drag it through the garden"
Our favorite restaurant in the city. Get the wedge salad, the fried chicken, any steak, and the chocolate cream pie. Pro tip: the "house red wine" is typically a phenomenal bottle for ~$25, best deal in the city. Snag a reservation on resy.com, or show up when they open (4 pm) to grab a seat at the bar or one of their few tables that they reserve for walk-ins
The site of our first kiss, second date, proposal, and engagement party. Great drinks and the piano player will take requests, especially if you tip them! Our favorite song to request is Vienna by Billy Joel. VIENNA!!!!
Our wedding and reception will be here, but don't miss out on the 1,700 acres of beautiful greenery, foliage and flora! Don't miss the spruce plot!
The best way to see the city (and learn!) is an architecture boat tour on the river! The First Lady is our favorite one. Sit on the top deck and bring a hat for the sun!
The Second City is a comedy powerhouse! Go to literally any show, they are typically very cheap and very fun. Many famous comedians started out as relative unknowns here.
The best deep dish in Chicago is at a family friendly dive bar with Blackhawks jerseys everywhere. Make a reservation (they're easy to get) so you can skip the 2-3 hour wait!
Our favorite park in the city, home to the free Lincoln Park Zoo as well as beautiful lawns. You can also cross the bridge easily to the lakefront for great city views and people watching everyone having a picnic, swimming, and playing games. Don't miss the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool!
