Milwaukee Art Museum
A must visit for out of town guests. The architecture alone is stunning.
American Family Field
Though we absolutely do not want to call this American Family Field (RIP Miller Park), this is a great place to catch a Brewers game. Dan and I try to go every year!
Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory
If you like plants and cool looking buildings, we definitely recommend the Domes!
Milwaukee Public Market
There are lots of cute vendors and restaurants here to check out for all Milwaukee goods. Wander around the Third Ward after for some shopping! We took some of our engagement photos in this neighborhood.
Seven Bridges Trail
If you're looking for some beautiful and easy hiking, I recommend Seven Bridges Trail at Grant Park.
South Shore Park
South Shore Park is one of our FAVORITE spots in the city. We walk the dogs here twice a day (we recommend venturing down the Oak Leaf Trail). We also love the Beer Garden with a beautiful view of the city and Lake Michigan, as well as great beer and food. The Farmers Market takes place here every Saturday morning from 8 - 12. Fun fact, Dan proposed at this park while walking the dogs!
Bradford Beach
If you're looking for a spot for a beach day, we recommend Bradford Beach or Atwater Beach.
Lakefront Brewery
You're not coming to Milwaukee without a brewery tour! We recommend booking a tour with Lakefront Brewery for a great time. They have an excellent tour, fun beer hall with great food, and there's often live music on Friday nights to accompany your fish fry and cheese curds. Lakefront Brewery is along the river and the swing park is nearby.
Best Place at the Historic Pabst Brewery
Milwaukee is the home of many different beers, but most notably to us millennials, home to PBR! We recommend this tour for a taste of Milwaukee brewing history. They go into more information than just about our beloved PBR.
Milwaukee Brewing Company
MKE Brewery also has a great brewery tour. I do not recommend this tour if you need to be functional afterwards, because the beer stays flowing on this tour.
Twisted Path Distillery
This is by far one of our favorite spots for a handcrafted cocktail! They distill their own spirits and you can even take a tour of the distillery. The cocktail menu changes regularly and we haven't had a bad drink yet!
