Detroit Symphony Orchestra
The DSO on Nov 6 will be playing Debussy’s Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun, Dutilleux’s cello concerto: A whole distant world..., Color by Marc-André Dalbavie, and Ravel’s Daphnis et Chloé. We like to attend the DSO about 3 times a year. We've seen things like The Firebird, The Rite of Spring, Carmina Burana, Swan Lake, and much more!
Detroit Zoo
Fully AZA accredited, the Detroit Zoo is a special place for us. We love the bear exhibit, the otter exhibit, the monkey exhibit, and most importantly, the elusive nocturnal beaver exhibit! We were blessed one night during the annual Spook Zoo event (21+ after hours event) to see these big beavers. Lots to see and a lovely walk even if the animals aren't out. The Detroit Zoo is operated by the Detroit Zoological Society which also supports the Belle Isle Nature Center - another lovely walking spot!
Zac Brown Band
Zac Brown Band Concert at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit Nov 6 We frequent the LCA as it is home to the Red Wings, the Pistons, and is a frequent destination for popular concerts. We've seen Pistons vs Lakers, Stevie Wonder, Wu Tang Clan, and Red Wings vs Maple Leafs and the Ducks!
