Long before Dani received a “you’re cute” message on Hinge two weeks into the COVID lockdown, she and Frank had been orbiting each other’s lives for years. Their almost-meetings dated back to 2018, when they lived near each other and when an infamously annoying white Civic kept stealing the parking spots Frank had just shoveled out after snowstorms. The two even found themselves feuding over the same coveted parking spot outside Wrigleyville North. In 2019, when Dani was moving apartments, Frank was supposed to come by and help her and her roommates because of a mutual connection, but something came up, and the moment slipped by once again. Finally, in April 2020, the two matched and spent the next month texting while Dani was staying with her parents during lockdown. Their conversations eventually led to a socially distanced coffee date in the park, where they bonded over their mutual love of the Cubs, music, and a good night out. Since then, they’ve survived long distance, Frank’s Dakin apartment, a broken leg, a cross-country move together and 9 days camping in Wyoming. Now, they’re beyond excited to embark on their next adventure... marriage.
