Flight
If you're coming in from out-of-town, you're probably flying to one of our three NYC-area airports - John F. Kennedy (JFK - our primary international airport), LaGuardia (LGA) or Newark (EWR). If you're coming into the city first for a night or two, any of these airports will do. For direct transfer to our hotels on Long Island, JFK is your most convenient option. Take the JFK AirTrain to Jamaica Station ($8), then catch the Long Island Railroad (LIRR - Commuter Rail) to Ronkonkoma. You are then a ten-minute walk, or two-minute Uber ride, to both the Homewood Suites and the Courtyard Marriott. For the Land's End Motel, catch the LIRR from Jamaica to Sayville, then a cab to the Motel. A quick reminder, if you've never been here, that Newark Airport is in New Jersey. For public transportation, take the Newark AirTrain (a monorail), then catch New Jersey Transit (commuter rail) to New York's Penn Station. If heading directly to Long Island, you can then transfer to the Long Island Railroad (LIRR) to Ronkonkoma. Please reach out to me (Dylan.alban@gmail.com) for any other questions around public transportation.
Flight
If you're coming from Florida, or taking a connecting flight anyway, consider flying right into ISP! This small airport is the most convenient option if you are heading straight to the wedding - both the Homewood Suites and Courtyard Marriott Ronkonkoma are less than one mile from this airport, and the motel and venue are a 15-minute drive. Take a fixed-rate cab directly to your destination. This airport is served by American, Breeze, Frontier, and Southwest.
Train
The Long Island Railroad (LIRR) provides easy, reliable service between New York City and Sayville, Long Island. From NYC: Take the LIRR from New York Penn Station to the Sayville stop (approx. 1.5 hrs), which is on the Montauk Branch. On the way, you will most likely change trains at either Jamaica or Babylon (great names, right?!) to a Montauk (or Patchogue)-bound train. From JFK Airport: Take the JFK AirTrain to Jamaica, then LIRR to Sayville. At the Sayville station, you will find a fleet of cabs waiting to take passengers to the Sayville/Fire Island ferry ($5 cash per person). These cabs should take you the extra two minutes from the Sayville Ferry to the wedding venue - Land's End Waterfront Catering - which is right next door.
