Travel Note
Canadians and American Citizens can easily obtain a Visa on Arrival at the airport. We recommend you purchase a Jordan Pass, which waives the visa fee and also allows you free admission to over 40 of Jordan's key sights and attractions (including Petra, Amman Citadel, museums, etc.) The Jordan Pass is worth it if you plan to visit Petra and are staying at least 3 nights in Jordan. The visa fee alone is 40 JOD ($56 USD), and Petra’s entrance is 50 JOD ($70 USD) for non-nationals, so the pass saves you money right away.

If you choose to stay at the hotel we're having our wedding at, you can enjoy a discount on your room. If you'd like to stay in the Fairmont, please let the bride and groom know and we can help you with the booking process. The Fairmont Amman is located in a hotel-dense area in Amman, so feel free to check out other hotels around like the Four Seasons, the Ritz Carlton, or the St. Regis.

You can find many affordable Airbnbs around Amman. We recommend you stay in the following areas: Rainbow Street, Jabal Amman, Al Weibdah. For a relxed and laid back vibe, stay in Abdali or Swefieh, which offer more upscale environments.
Rental Car
Uber is the most reliable and inexpensive way to get around Amman and neighboring cities. There are no shortages of Ubers in Amman and you'll find yours within 2 minutes of ordering it! The average Uber within Amman costs 2-4 JOD (about $4-8 CAD).
