Amman Citadel
The site has been inhabited since the Bronze Age and features ruins from the Roman, and Byzantine periods. It sits on the highest hill in Amman, offering beautiful views of the city, including downtown Amman and the Roman Theater.
Downtown Amman
Downtown Amman (also called El Balad) is a must if you want to experience the city's authentic charm, history, and culture. This area is home to ancient ruins like The Roman Theatre, old souks, and traditional Jordanian life. It's great for shopping, from spices and jewelry to handmade crafts and antiques, this is where you should get your souvenirs!
Rainbow Street
Rainbow Street is one of the best places to explore in Amman, especially if you enjoy local culture, food, and a lively atmosphere. Eric and his mom stayed in this neighbourhood last year and they loved how walkable it is. Find colourful buildings, street art, and a fun trendy vibe! You might catch art galleries, live music, or pop-up markets depending on when you go.
Petra
It goes without saying that Petra is the ultimate attraction in Jordan. Eric and his mom went with Dania's family last year and they absolutely loved it! We made the mistake of arriving late, so be careful and plan for at least one full day here to be able to take it all in.
Dead Sea
The Dead Sea is a one-of-a-kind experience that you won’t find anywhere else in the world. You can find budget or luxury stays here depending on your preference, but they all include access to the Dead Sea itself so you can take your quintessential floating photo and enjoy the mineral-rich mud!
Wadi Rum
This one is for the adventure lovers – Wadi Rum is absolutely worth visiting if you love stunning landscapes, and unique cultural experiences. Stay in a bedouin camp (also known as Bubble Camps), ride a camel, take an action-packed Jeep Tour, and stargaze in one of the best night skies in the world. Fun Fact: Wadi Rum is a famous movie location! It's been featured in Star Wars, The Martian, Dune, and Lawrence of Arabia.
Jerash
