Hello, friends & family! As you can imagine, it's been pretty difficult to try to navigate planning a wedding during a pandemic. As of now, we are feeling very fortunate because under current restrictions and regulations, we will be able to gather together and get married with up to 173 other people present! Eagle county is allowing outdoor gathering of up to 175 people. WHILE WE ARE NOT REQUIRING IT, WE ARE ASKING THAT OUR GUESTS RECEIVE A NEGATIVE COVID TEST RESULT WITHIN A WEEK OF ATTENDING OUR WEDDING. Not causing a COVID outbreak would be the best wedding gift you could give us! This also helps us honor and love our guests who choose to attend and might be more vulnerable to COVID than others. We want you to know we completely respect and understand your decision to either attend or to play it safe. Masks will be available throughout the venue, although it would be great to bring your own as well if you plan on wearing one. The space is entirely outdoors, so you will be able to be as far away from others as makes you comfortable. Thanks for rolling with the punches with us! We are looking forward to an incredible day. Love, Adam & Han
We met at the Idaho Springs Rec Center at a training day for Young Life camp- we led Young Life in the same area and spent a lot of time together while we hung out with teenagers. After a YL training weekend, Adam asked Hannah if she wanted to come over to watch Nacho Libre with some friends and eat nachos. She agreed, and did not sit in the open space he was saving for her next to him on the couch. He asked her to hang out the next day, to which she replied, "Sorry, pal, I'm getting my snow tires put on tomorrow." Ouch. However, Adam wasn't too discouraged. A couple months later, he asked Hannah on a date. She hesitantly said "no thanks". We proceeded to get coffee together, go on hikes, go to dinner, attend a philosophical forum, and kiss each other's faces. Approximately 153 confusing conversations later, we were in a relationship!
Since then, we've been through some real highs and lows together. Highs include: Adam graduates college, experiencing the goodness of being at Young Life camp together, building deep friendships, pow days, picnics, Hannah graduates college, Adam buys a house, we get the goofiest, sweetest rescue dog ever, we find work doing things we love, we dream about moving to Bend, Oregon together. Lows include: Adam gets 2 shoulder surgeries, Hannah gets massively anxious, 3 of our grandparents pass away, Adam's dad loses his battle with cancer. Through it all, we've also found that we are so much better together. This journey has been incredible, difficult, life-giving, exhausting, and one of the sweetest things we've known- thanks for being along the journey with us and for being with us as we say "HECK YEAH" to marriage!
