Shelby and Dana met in 2017. She was a freshman on the Murray State Rifle Team and Shelby was a sophomore. They quickly became friends and spent a lot of time together because they were in the same mechanical engineering program. Many hours were spent studying and at rifle practice together. Dana's favorite memories from those days include tagging along on whatever adventure Shelby dreamt up and rifle team road trips watching shows in the van. Shelby's favorite memories together were going to the carwash, studying together, and rifle team road trips as well. They grew closer as the years went on. Dana spent many holidays in Nashville with the Huber's and Shelby flew to Minnesota for New Years with the Buesseler's. By this time Shelby had a full time Mechanical Engineering job in Albuquerque and convinced Dana to work an internship at the company he is working at, which she does. Then after she graduates, he convinces her to move to Albuquerque and rent out the basement! Well it only took a few months to realize that it was more than great friendship that brought these two together. They began dating in October of 2022 and a proposal in August of 2024 and here we are! Shelby and Dana cannot wait to celebrate together with their friends and family who have watched their relationship grow throughout the years.
