Why Vermont?

Let us tell you...

We decided on Vermont because as individuals and now as a couple it has been and will continue to be a memorable place for us. Dan has spent countless winter weekends riding his snowmobile with friends throughout the entire state. Yes, even all the way up to the Canadian border crossing. From renting a house in Island Pond, to spending nights in Groton at a house they fondly refer to as "The Wing Camp" to day trips around Southern Vermont he has ridden throughout the entire state of Vermont. If he's not on a snowmobile, then you might catch him skiing at Mount Snow. Needless to say, during the winter months Vermont is his favorite place to be! Vermont for me was a place that we would vacation to for a long weekend during winter break from school. One of my favorite memories was staying in Stowe and XC skiing at the Von Trapp Family lodge and swimming in the indoor pool at the hotel we stayed at. Lake Morey was also a fun place to stay as you could watch the sea planes land on the frozen lake while we were ice skating. For us as a couple, Vermont became special in 2022 when we spent a cold and snowy weekend snowmobiling at the Mountain Top Inn. In 2023, we spent a winter weekend enjoying time in Woodstock and Quechee. We returned to the Mountain Top Inn in 2024 to snowmobile, which is when Dan decided to propose. We can't wait to share Vermont with you, and we hope you enjoy celebrating with us in a place that is quickly becoming our favorite.
