Question

What is the max capacity allowed for weddings in New York state?

Answer

As of March 15th, wedding receptions of up to 150 people can resume in New York State.

Question

Do I need to get a COVID test to attend your wedding?

Answer

If you're fully vaccinated, no need to test! Current NYS guidelines state that all guests over the age of 2 must present one of the following in order to attend weddings: 1.) Proof of negative PCR test within 72 hours of event (Wednesday, May 12th - Saturday, May 15th) Please note that this applies to the day/time the test is administered versus when negative results are received. For example, if a guest gets a PCR test on Monday, May 10th but receives results on Thursday, May 13th, this will NOT suffice since the test was administered outside of the 72hr window 2.) Proof of negative rapid test within 6 hours of event. Our ceremony is at 5:30pm which means guests can begin obtaining rapid tests at 11:30am. 3.) Proof of full vaccination 14+ days prior to event. This would mean guests will need to have been fully vaccinated by May 1st latest in order to forego testing Red Maple will be checking ALL guests' proof of a negative Covid test or vaccination card prior to the ceremony.

Question

Do the COVID testing requirements apply to children?

Answer

NY State guidelines require children over the age of 2 to present a negative PCR or Rapid/Antigen test for entry into event

Question

Where can i get tested in the area?

Answer

Below are links to some testing sites near our hotels (Dutchess County) and near Red Maple (Ulster County): Dutchess County Testing Sites (Scroll Down midway to page): https://www.dutchessny.gov/Departments/DBCH/Collection-Sites-for-Testing-in-Dutchess-County.htm Ulster County Testing Sites: https://covid19.ulstercountyny.gov/get-tested/

Question

What's the venue like? Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

We plan on having an outdoor ceremony on Red Maple Vineyard's hill, Deer Ridge, weather permitting. During the cocktail hour, guests can spend as much time as they please outdoors or indoors and are welcome to explore Red Maple Vineyard's expansive grounds, home to an 1800’s cow barn, stone foundation ruins, walking trails, vineyards, fruit & vegetable gardens, herb gardens, and flower gardens. Following the cocktail hour, the reception will take place in RMV's reception pavilion, a big open space with floor-to-ceiling windows that can open up on a nice day allowing for plenty of outdoor airflow. The room typically can accommodate 300 guests during non-COVID times. We take COVID very seriously and we're confident that the nature of our venue, along with the cooperation of our guests, will allow for a celebration that is both safe and fun!

Question

Will there be contact tracing?

Answer

Yes, we will be providing Red Maple Vineyard with the names and email addresses of all guests prior to the wedding so that contact tracing can be easily performed if necessary.

Question

Is dancing allowed?

Answer

Yes!! As of May 3 dance 'zone' restrictions have been lifted and have been replaced with social distancing and masks!

Question

Can anyone attend the Welcome Party on 5/14?

Answer

Yes!! Although info on this event was not included in our invitations, we would love for all wedding guests to stop by Bad Seed Cider Co. anytime between 7-10p on Friday night for a few drinks and snacks! We'll be having our rehearsal dinner for the bridal party and immediate family at the same venue earlier in the evening.

Question

Do I need to present proof of a negative test or full vaccination for the Welcome Party on 5/14?

Answer

At this time guests will not be required to show proof of a negative test or vaccination at the Welcome Party, but we are strong proponents of testing just in case if you are not fully vaccinated :)

Question

I'm traveling from out of New York state. Do I need to quarantine before your wedding?
