Our Story
Dan and Maura started attending Georgetown University in fall 2009 but never officially met during their time there. Almost 10 years later, they had both moved to Brooklyn and bumped into each other at a Pride party at the apartment of Dan’s close friend, Marc Fichera. Maura introduced herself to Dan, and when she walked away after a few minutes, he remembers thinking, “Wait, no, come back!” Several months later, they found themselves at the same party again, a Halloween one hosted by mutual friend Michael Crouch. They chatted much longer this time, bonding over their tattoos and lackluster costumes. In the days since Oct. 27, 2018, that list of shared interests has grown to include their pit bull, Layla, rare steaks and hazy IPAs, Italy, falling asleep on the floor while hanging out with friends and spending their lives together.
